On Solid Rock

For years now, we have enjoyed exploring the Upper Peninsula.  Near the rugged tip of the Keweenaw, on Superior, we came across this rock just offshore.  I knew right away I was going to paint it.  It is always amazing that trees can grow “On Solid Rock.”  March 31, 2024 update:  I was informed yesterday that this painting was sold through Gallery on 5th in Calumet, Michigan.  I hope to meet the person who bought it.  This painting means so much to me and I am grateful that I came across this boulder when I did.  My understanding is that the trees were destroyed during a storm last year and this scene is no longer.  May my faith continue to stay "On Solid Rock".
